Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)


Responsible for keeping the grounds maintained with a clean, neat, and orderly appearance. Grounds to include parking structure/lots/garage, valet drop off/pickup and all other outside areas within the scope, control and responsibility of Live! Casino.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ordering supplies for plants and equipment to maintain the grounds.
  • Responsible for cutting, weeding, and edging the grass, raking the leaves, and sweeping the parking lots, and garage.
  • Responsible for planting, removing, and relocating plants, flowers, trees, and bushes.
  • Removing all trash and debris from parking lot areas and grounds. Emptying trash containers.
  • Using, maintaining, and cleaning all machinery equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring all signs, posts, chain fences are straight and secure.
  • Responsible to ensure all outside areas are clean, orderly and are at the highest level of maintenance at all times. 
  • Responsible for Live! grounds and garage are kept in a manner to ensure safety and security of all guests and team members. 
  • May be called upon and assigned from time to time assist with internal housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities) 

  • Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
  • Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions.
  • Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of guests and team members at all times.
  • Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

Educational Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Zero (0) to two (2) years’ experience with grounds keeping and or outdoor maintenance of a commercial property/facility.
  • Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

Working Conditions

  • 24/7 high energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employees
  • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
  • You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
